Wilbur is a sweet energetic 1 year old red smooth dachshund. He came into rescue when he and his canine/dachshund brother did not get along. Wilbur does however do fine with my dachshunds - male and female who are dog friendly and are easy-going. Wilbur could be an only dachshund or be with another SMALL dog preferably a female but that dog must not be an alpha. Wilbur loves to go for walks, run around in the yard, play with toys/kong, sunbath, and of course snuggle with his human/humans. Wilbur is friendly and good with humans but shows he is leery of strangers by barking until he feels confortable/assured that it is safe. Wilbur is housetrained but will need some time to adjust to his new environment. Simply set up a routine and be consistent and Wilbur will do fine. Wikbur is crate trained too. At night Wilbur LOVES to sleep in the Big Bed but can also sleep in a dog bed or crate.

Wilbur is a healthy neutered male that is up to date on vaccines - Rabies and Distemper.
