Peachy & Po  ppy are not litter mates but are a bonded pair of 5 year old cuties. The girls came to rescue when their owner had to move and could no longer care for them. Both girls are friendly but Poppy tends to be a bit timid and  needs some time to adjust/become comfortable with her new environment. Peachy and Poppy seem to love all humans - adults and teenagers but have had zero experience with young children. We believe after observing their behavior that the girls would benefit from a quieter less active household. However the girls are not couch potatoes ... they do love snuggle time - ALL dachshunds do but they also enjoy walks, running/exploring in the backyard, and playing with toys - especially Poppy. Poppy & Peachy are GREAT car riders and when adopted will have their very own two seater carseat. They are good with other dachshunds or maybe other small dogs but no BIG DOGS! They have not been cat tested. The girls are housetrained and crate trained. At night they can sleep in a crate together, a dogbed, or even the Big Bed. 

Poppy and Peachy are spayed and up to date on all vaccinations - Rabies and Distemper. Their fecals and HW tests were negative for parasites. Both girls also had dentals ... Peachy had 0 extractions and Poppy had 2 extractions. 

Once Poppy & Peachy settle in they are total sweethearts!
