The fewer stairs the better
Otto and Fritz are brothers and a very bonded pair. When they first got here, they wouldn't move from each other, but now, after a couple weeks, they are comfortable separating, meaning each in a different bed during the day, or sniffing around in the yard in different directions. They are a fun pair- Otto is more confident, Fritz a little afraid at first. Whether running in the yard to see the neighbors, or tracking a squirrel, they never forget to potty, and happily accept a treat when they come in.
They are the most loving, attached doxies .They would be completely content to sit on someone's lap all day, and if not, at least be in the same room. They will be happily lifted on the couch to watch tv, and stay there until lifted down. They are getting curious; Otto first, Fritz following skeptically, started to, slowly, go up some stairs, apparently wondering where their people go! They were apprehended, and now these stairs are gated. Earlier on, there was no interest at all. They have also just started to bark, but not when I leave, only when they are excited that someone is coming in, or when my dogs bark. They do stop quickly when told," shhhhh". These boys enjoy the freedom of the yard, but love going on walks too.
Car rides not determined yet. They would be very welcome in the big bed, and would love it, but it is upstairs and since they are completely comfortable together, they sleep with a big cushy bed and blankets in their playpen. All family members, male and female, were accepted with a wagging tail. Friends forever, but big hearts that will love anyone who loves them back!
