My Story
What a handsome sweet boy!
Frank is an energetic one year old that came into rescue because his elderly owner was having health concerns. Frank is not an instant tail wagger he needs time to trust his human/humans and acclimate himself to his new environment/home. He is very Barky especially around strangers. Frank will do best with an adult only home. Frank needs a forever family that is loving, patient, and willing to take the time to work on socialization and basic training. This boy needs his forever family to take lots of time to interactive with him daily ... playing ball, taking him for walks, snuggling with him, teaching him exceptable behavior, etc. Frank is super smart ...learning new things quickly but needs consistency. Supposedly Frank is good with cats but he has not been cat tested by us. Although Frank is coexisting in his foster home with other dachshunds - male and female we feel he would do best as an only dog because of his alpha personality. Frank LOVES to run therefore must have a fenced yard. Every times he goes potty he runs ouside then running around the yard several times before he goes potty. He is housetrained and crate trained.
Frank is neutered and up to date on vaccines - Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. His fecal and HW test were negative for parasites.
