Buford is an 8 year old handsome silver dapple longhair dachshund. Buford was a breeder release to rescue. He is a sweet gentle boy but quite shy except when it is meal time then he is a non stop barker until he gets his food. I guess he wants to make sure you don't forget him! Buford is slowly getting acostume to humans. He follows and lays close to his human/humans but is still skittish. He needs an quiet slow pace adult only home. Children bewilder him. Buford is great with other small dogs. We are looking for a forever home with an older easy going well socialized dog to be Buford's buddy. Buford loves to be outdoors ... that is his happy place ...so a fenced yard is a must. Buford is doing well with housetraining but a fenced yard is the key. Just set up a routine and be consistent. He is also crate trained but prefers a gated area.At night Bufford sleeps in a dog bed.

Buford is neutered and up to date on vaccines - Rabies, Distemper, and Borrdetella. His fecal and HW test were negative for parasites. Bufford also had a dental with 12 extractions.
