Cinnamon

Cinnamon came to us on May 23, 2006. The first time I laid eyes on her I fell in love. She was a breeder dog and was therefore kept in a crate most of her life. Fortunately, her crate days are over now and she's enjoying her own little doggie bed. She's the most content lying beside mommy (that's me!) and she follows me everywhere I go.

She's the sweetest little dog and everyone just loves her. Friends, family, and even strangers commen on how beautiful she is as soon as they see her. As her foster mom told me the day Cinnamon was brought to us -- she has the face of a baby seal. Nobody can resist that face. She looks up at me with those soulful eyes and it just melts my heart.

She likes to lie on her back and high-five me. I'll get her down on the floor to play and she gently nibbles at my hand while lying on her back (with what teeth she has left because most of them were rotten and pulled) and when I hold up my hand and say, "Gimme five!" she slaps her paw to my palm. Just a fun little thing she and I do together.

She dances when it's mealtime. When she sees me going for her food, she gets up and does a happy dance all around the kitchen. She certainly adores her food, although we watch her portions carefully to ensure she doesn't gain too much weight.

We frequently take her and Tiffany (our other rescue dachshund) out to a relative's house. She lives out in the country and has a beautiful home with a big pond and lots of land. Cinnamon and Tiffany run and romp through the grass, happy as clams -- just as they should be and just as they deserve to be. As long as they're happy and healthy, that's all that matters.

Thank you MWDR for bringing this sweet little girl into our lives. Feel content in knowing that this little angel is enjoying her life and gets plastered with kisses every day.
