As a non-profit, all-volunteer organization devoted to rescuing and placing dachshunds and dachshund mixes who are in need, MidWest Dachshund Rescue, Inc., welcomes your generous, tax-deductible donation. MWDR is a 501(c)(3) organization. The dachshunds thank you!

• Donations in honor of someone special:
  Birthdays, anniversaries,graduations,Christmas and Hanakah are perfect occasions to honor someone special with a gift to MWDR. A personalized card will be sent to notify your friend or loved one of your generous gift.
• Donation in memory of a loved one:
  Contribution can be made to MWDR in remembrance of a loved one (human or animal). The Family of the decease will receive notification of your generous gift.

• Grassroots Fundraising
  Host a fundraiser for MWDR. For more information regarding grassroots fundraising (ex. garage sales, special events, bake sales, lemonade stands, book sales, dog walks, dog washs, etc.) please contact Helen LaBuda at hal25c@yahoo.com
• Matching Gifts
  Many companies encourage philanthropic interest among their employees by offering a matching gifts program. Please contact your company's Human Resources department to determine if your employer matches gifts to MWDR. This is an easy and effective way to double or even triple your contribution to MWDR. • Gifts of Stock
  Donating a highly appreciated asset to MWDR may allow you to avoid a significant portion of your tax liability while still receiving a charitable contribution deduction.
  
  For example, if you donate a long-term appreciated asset such as stock to MWDR, you are generally entitled to an income tax deduction for the current fair market value of that asset, no matter what your original cost. Additionally, all capital gains taxes that were due would be avoided. However, to take a deduction for gifts of securities at their current value, you must have owned them for one year and a day. The asset you donate is usually removed from your taxable estate, which means an additional tax savings for your heirs. The gift of an appreciated asset is a powerful way to support MWDR. While this giving strategy has many obvious benefits, no doubt the most important is the satisfaction of knowing that your support helps advance the rescue efforts of MWDR. • Donor Advised Funds
  If you have established a donor advised fund, it may be possible to recommend a charity to receive all or part of the assets remaining in the fund after your lifetime.
